Sigmavent-...D... valves are designed to open openings in the enclosing structures of supply and exhaust ducts of emergency smoke ventilation systems. According to the shape of the body, the flap, seals in the closed position, geometric and connecting dimensions, the actuators used and aerodynamic characteristics, the smoke valves are similar to normally closed valves of the corresponding modifications. The differences in the design of the smoke valve from the normally closed one are due to the fact that the smoke valve takes into account only one type of limit condition for fire resistance: E — loss of density.
